Hello, Welcome to my blog. I love to cook, sew, quilt, make jewelry, and other crafts. I'm married, mother of 2 adult children, nurse and breast cancer survivor. I enjoy skiing with family and friends, prefer cooler weather as opposed to the warmer weather.
One of my favorite side dishes is my garlic bread. My family loves to have it anytime I make something saucy, soups, stews or any other savory, dunkable meal. Now, if you’re watching calories, then this recipe is not for you. I put a lot of butter in it.
I start with a crusty loaf of Italian bread or a crusty French baguette, cut into easier to work with pieces and slice down the middle.
One of the things I love to do is to make beaded jewelry. I like the colors, the sparkles and just the way they feel in my hand. Twice a year, the Gem Faire comes to town and I can come home with a great haul of precious and semi-precious gem stones, crystals, and a great assortment of findings. I also look for the sales at Michael’s and Joann’s for their fancy beads.
Here are some necklaces I’ve made from my hauls Joann’s and Michael’s.
