The Best Garlic Bread Ever!

One of my favorite side dishes is my garlic bread.  My family loves to have it anytime I make something saucy, soups, stews or any other savory, dunkable meal. Now, if you’re watching calories, then this recipe is not for you.  I put a lot of butter in it.

I start with a crusty loaf of Italian bread or a crusty French baguette, cut into easier to work with pieces and slice down the middle.

Handmade Beaded Necklaces

One of the things I love to do is to make beaded jewelry.  I like the colors, the sparkles and just the way they feel in my hand.  Twice a year, the Gem Faire comes to town and I can come home with a great haul of precious and semi-precious gem stones, crystals, and a great assortment of findings.  I also look for the sales at Michael’s and Joann’s for their fancy beads.

Cabbage and Ham

A family favorite with the leftover ham from Christmas.  Cabbage and Ham….YUMMY!!

Ingredients:

Ham bone with ham attached, and any other leftover ham pieces
1 large onion roughly chopped
Peppercorns
1 bay leaf
Optional 2 bouillon cubes
2 heads of cabbage cut into wedges
6-8 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/8s
Salt and Pepper to taste
